U.S. Forces Japan Change of Command Ceremony Announced

Field is currently serving as the Senior Advisor to the U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan/Pakistan, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Following the change of command, Rice will go on to assume duties as Commander, Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. The AETC change of command date is still to be determined.

The U.S. Senate has confirmed Rice, for promotion to the rank of General and Field for appointment to the rank of Lieutenant General. Rice has been in command of U.S. Forces, Japan and 5th Air Force since February 2008.

在日米軍司令官交代式のお知らせ

フィールドは現在、ワシントンＤＣ、国防総省にて、アフガニスタン／パキスタン担当米特別代表への上級顧問として勤務しております。司令官交代式の後、ライスはテキサス州、ランドルフ空軍基地の航空教育・訓練軍団司令官として継続して従事致します。赴任先の司令官交代式の日時は決定しておりません。

米上院はライスの大将への昇進とフィールドの中将昇進を承認しております。ライスは２００８年より在日米軍兼第５空軍司令官として従事致しました。
