U.S. and Japan Conduct Bilateral Bomber Integration Exercise (Photo by JASDF)
On Nov. 19, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command deployed two bombers in a bilateral air exercise with additional Japan Self-Defense Forces fighters to demonstrate the consistent, lethal, and capable deterrence options readily available to the U.S.-Japan Alliance.
Two B-1 Lancer bombers integrated with five Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2 fighter aircraft over northwest Kyushu, exemplifying the our alliance's ability to quickly and decisively respond to threats against Japan. The U.S. remains committed to peace and prosperity throughout the Indo-Pacific alongside our Japanese allies, together acting as the cornerstone of peace and security in the region. Our bilateral commitment to the defense of Japan remains ironclad.
