U.S. Forces Japan, Ministry of Defense Hold Second Aviation Subject Matter Expert Exchange

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- U.S. Forces Japan personnel met with representatives of the Ministry of Defense and Japan Self Defense Forces at Ichigaya for a second aviation subject matter expert exchange today.

Both the U.S. and JSDF exchanged views and information on key issues associated with military aircraft and aviation safety in order to further deepen mutual understanding.

The first such meeting was held Nov. 8, 2018 at the New Sanno Hotel.

The U.S. remains dedicated to conducting safe and effective flying operations in support of our Alliance commitments to Japan in an increasingly complex security environment.

在日米軍、防衛省による第2回航空専門家会合に関して

横田基地、日本――在日米軍職員は本日、市ヶ谷にて開かれた第2回航空専門家会合において防衛省と自衛隊代表と会談致しました。

米国と自衛隊は軍用機と航空保全に関連した主要な課題について相互理解を更に深める為の意見、情報交換を行いました。

このような同様の会合は2018年11月8日にニューサンノーにて初回の会合が行われました。

米国は増加している複雑な安全環境において同盟国として米国の日本への確約を支援する為に安全で効果的な飛行運用を行うことに継続して専念致します。
